Jim Hagemann Snabe was appointed a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, effective July 1, 2008. He leads the newly created Business Solutions & Technology organization, responsible for product development for large enterprises. The organization is responsible for the development of the SAP Business Suite family of applications and the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.

Snabe joined SAP in 1990 and has held various management roles in consulting, sales, and development. His career at SAP began as a consultant with SAP Denmark, where he was quickly promoted to lead the local consulting practice. Snabe briefly departed SAP in 1994 for a position as practice leader at IBM Denmark. He returned to SAP in 1996 as managing director (MD) of SAP Sweden, a position he held for three years. He was then appointed MD of the SAP Nordic region and soon became a member of the SAP EMEA management team.

In 2002, Snabe was asked to join the company's global development unit to bring development efforts closer to the market. He served as senior vice president and chief operations officer of SAP's business solution group responsible for product development for SAP's flagship enterprise resource planning software, SAP ERP, as well as SAP solutions for financial and public services industries. Later, Snabe took over responsibility for SAP's industry business unit responsible for developing industry-specific solutions for more than 24 industry segments. In 2006, Snabe was appointed corporate officer of SAP AG and subsequently was named a member of the Executive Council, which shares responsibilities for both customer-facing and product topics. In 2007, Snabe assumed leadership for the Business Suite organization, managing development efforts for the SAP Business Suite applications.

Snabe currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is fluent in five languages (Danish, French, German, English, and Swedish). He received a master's degree in operational research from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. Snabe is also the chairman of the board of Linkage A/S and member of the boards of Mannaz A/S and Thrane & Thrane A/S in Denmark.
